Chrissy's Closet: CSISD Clothing Closet is a free store for CSISD students to obtain new/gently used clothes, shoes, underwear, socks, coats, and personal hygiene items.
Our goal is to help students and their families to feel positively about themselves, CSISD, and attending school. Chrissy’s Closet is a part of the CSISD Education Foundation which is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) public corporation. Tax-deductible gifts made to the foundation provide funds for opportunities above and beyond the normal operating budget of the school district which are not available through tax revenues. Chrissy's Closet had the official grand opening on October 3, 2016 and is now open from 4-6 PM each Monday (excluding school holidays). For more information, please visit: csisdclothingcloset.weebly.com. Stop by the library this Wednesday-Friday to enjoy some fun activities celebrating Teen Read Week. Maybe you'll even find a new book to read!
The PSAT is a practice test that helps to prepare students for the SAT and can qualify a students to earn a National Merit Scholarship ranking. A college entrance exam is required for almost all colleges, so this practice for the SAT is very beneficial! After taking the PSAT on October 19th, students will have access to accurate (and FREE!) test-prep materials from the College Board/Khan Academy. The CB and Khan Academy have partnered to provide personalized test-prep on their website using data from each student's PSAT performance. This is BIG! Here is the website if you'd like to check it out and/or show it to your students: https://www.khanacademy.org/sat Questions? View the link below or see Mrs. Costenbader or a Counselor! We will have a non-traditional bell schedule that day due to testing. Stay tuned for more details! |
