Our CSHS students listened to four speakers today from US Ambassadors to presidential speech writers. Along with some history of German Prisoners of War in Texas to visualization and graphic design, students heard a wide array of information from our past and present that is relevant to our future.
Every student received a signed copy of Curt Smith's book, George H.W. Bush: Character at the Core, that goes deep into the 41's time at the White House.
Students also heard about the Young Spurs Writing Contest that offers high school writers the opportunity to learn from journalism professionals at a convention in Grapevine along with the honor of being published in the Dallas Morning News. For requirement information and other details, please visit their website.
A special thank you to all those who helped make today's trip successful: our wonderful CSHS teachers, the great parent chaperones, our CSHS cafeteria staff for catering lunch, and the Bush Library High School Days staff.
